Gray Ghost Takes Gold in California,
Sweeps Third Straight Competition of 2007
Gray Ghost ’s Adieu was the only Virginia wine to win Gold in California’s prestigious Grand Harvest Awards held the end of February.
This is the third consecutive competition that Gray Ghost has swept in 2007. Gray Ghost’s 2004 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon won Silver and the 2005 Reserve Chardonnay Bronze. According to the competition’s press material, “The goal of the Grand Harvest Awards has been, and continues to be, to identify the finest examples from each viticultural region.”
This award follows on the heels of Gray Ghost sweeping the Florida State Fair International Wine Competition with Silver medal wins for the 2004 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon and the 2005 Reserve Chardonnay, and bronze for the Adieu. The Florida Competition garnered over 1,500 entries this year.
