and see why we have become a fall tradition for Northern Virginia over the last 11 years. Have
a blast in our 5 acre organic corn maze with fun puzzles and challenges, romp and play in our
huge kids barnyard of fun, with giant slides, pumpkin sling shots, tire swings, corn tires,
haybale maze and other mini mazes and farm animals. Eat at our grill and feast upon our
local naturally raised burgers, hotdogs, veggie burgers, kettle corn, fresh roasted sweet corn,

on October 11, 2014 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. to put on a wonderful display for all to enjoy.
Attractions include a Civil War display, Model Train exhibit, Petting Zoo, and a Community
Art Show. There will be 7 hours of live entertainment including a dance presentation, karate
demonstration, country music, bluegrass music, and southern rock. Come hungry! 
There will be many food options including a breakfast buffet by the Remington
Volunteer Fire Department, Shawn’s Smokehouse BBQ Company, Griolis Italian Grill,
funnel cakes, Moo Thru ice cream, and a Roast Beef and Fried Chicken Dinner

The Great Pumpkin Ride is a fully supported bicycle ride that starts and ends in historic
Warrenton. With route options of 3, 24, 43, and 71 miles, the ride appeals to a range of
riders and levels of experience. Fully stocked rest stops along the way will ensure you're
well nourished. The ride benefits the Fauquier Trails Coalition, supporting further
construction of a multi-use trails network throughout Fauquier County.

Halloween Happyfest Parade

Main Street, Old Town Warrenton...... Assemble at 1:45pm; Parade starts at 2:00pm
Parade participants will assemble between 5th & 6th Streets at 1:45pm.
For children of all ages! The Halloween Happyfest parade begins at 2pm, everyone is
welcome to walk in the parade. Enjoy trick-or-treating at participating shops immediately
following the parade. Special treats will also be offered at the Fauquier Bank Plaza on

Elk Run Church Mini-Museum ~ Community Open House

Elk Run Church Mini-Museum...... 1pm - 4pm

On 26 October, a community open house will be held at the Elk Run Church historical site
from 1pm – 4pm. A key event of the open house will be a short church service held within the
outlying of the old church foundation for the second time in over 210 years. The service will
consist of common prayers from the Book of Common Prayer of the Church of England,
1662, which would have been used in worship on this site.
Everyone is invited to participate in, or observe, this service. A special artifact display on the
Manahoac Indians, who occupied the area before Virginia settlers, will also be provided.
Visitors from Fauquier and adjoining counties can tour the mini-museum and the Manahoac
museum display. The mini-museum was built over an open excavation site of the original
church foundation. Much of the history and past events of the church site are on the website
at www.elkrunchurch.org. Refreshments will be provided.
