The Palio! at Three Fox Vineyards
Three Fox Vineyards...... 2pm (Winery open 11am - 5pm)
10100 Three Fox Lane, Delaplane, VA
We’ll recreate the Palio di Siena Three Fox Style! The Palio is a bareback horse race
that is run in the Piazza del Campo, in Siena. It has all the thrills and spills you would
expect from an extremely fast race, run on an extremely narrow and treacherous
course! And the Three Fox Palio offers all the same excitement!
Here’s how it works:
We’ll run three races, with four horses and their jockeys (horses are of the
‘hobby horse’ breed, not real horses!) The winner of each race wins a $50 cash prize!
But the Palio is not just about the horses and jockeys - it’s also about the fans!
Fans will pick their winning horse/jockey before the race. If the fan’s jockey wins,
they get a 10% discount on wine! Races Begin at 2pm. Horses are assigned on a
first come, first serve basis, so get here early to sign up to race in the Palio!!

industrialized counties in Virginia.

Winemaker Walkabout at Three Fox Vineyards
Three Fox Vineyards...... 1pm - 3pm (Winery is open 11am - 5pm)
3623 Grove Lane, Delaplane, VA
We have "Winemaker Walkabouts" at our vineyard / winery tours. These are on Sundays,
start at approximately 1PM, are by reservation (space is limited), and will include a souvenir
wine glass, a tasting after the tour, and a 10% discount on all wine purchased. The tour is
usually led by our winemaker but occasionally may be led by a member of the winemaker's
team. The tour consists of a stroll through the vines, with stops along the way to point out
various aspects of how vines and grapes grow and how we manage the vineyard and
provide time for asking questions. This "walkabout" through the vineyard leads to the winery
itself. Here the tour leader will point out the key equipment and give a quick overview of red
and white winemaking at Three Fox Vineyards. If there is a suitable wine in tank or barrel
then a tank / barrel tasting will be included in the tour (participants should bring along their
souvenir glasses for this). After the winery the tour will head back along the scenic route
(up over the high hill past the "Table in the Sky") and down to the Tasting Room.
Total tour time is estimated at 45 minutes and should bring the tour participants into the
Tasting Room going on 2 PM to enjoy their tasting of our delicious, hand crafted wines.

"Singer-guitarist-pianist-oddball Steve Hudson... a daffy collection of musical comedy
pieces. Hudson is a sort of counter-culture Victor Borge. He skewers everything from
Elvis to "Chopsticks" with passing shots at health insurance and carpenter bees.
At the moment, Steve Hudson doesn't get no respect; but just wait."

The fee for this fun and educational tour is $15 per person.
Call (540) 364-6073 or email info@threefoxvineyards.com for reservations.
