Christmas in Music, sung by the Warrenton Chorale

Come and enjoy the delightful sounds of the long-running annual community
“Christmas in Music” concert of the Warrenton Chorale. The Warrenton Chorale has
been entertaining the local citizenry since 1953. We are accompanied by extraordinary
talents of an organist, pianists and a variety of local musicians. Our performance
includes the Adult Chorale, the Youth Chorale and the Handbell Choir.
Bring in the holiday season by celebrating with us and creating a Christmas
tradition for the whole family. You will experience the splendor of “Christmas in Music”
with a rich mixture of traditional and creative musical arrangements. Please plan on
joining us, for a concert that’s sure to launch you into the mood for the Holiday season.
The Warrenton Chorale presents "Christmas in Music" Dec. 3, 4, and 5 at 8pm each
night and a 2pm matinee on Saturday.  All concerts will be held at the Warrenton
United Method Church.  Tickets are $6.00 in advance and may be purchase at the

Illumination Walk with Santa and opening of Gum Drop Square

Main Street in Old Town Warrenton..... 6pm
The illumination walk begins at 6pm at the Spilman-Mosby House (173 Main St.);
Gum Drop Square is open 7pm-9pm
Experience with us the splendor and the tradition of Christmas in Old Town Warrenton.
The crown jewel of Christmas is the award winning GumDrop Square and Santa’s
Secret Shop. Stroll down Main Street each Friday night in December enjoying carolers,
orchestras, choirs, merchant open houses, a live nativity, food trolleys with hot cocoa
and fresh roasted chestnuts and horse drawn hayrides. Come and experience
Christmas in true Old Town fashion. Festivities begin Friday, December 4th at 6pm
with the Illumination Walk from the Mosby Museum to GumDrop Square, the arrival
of Santa, the lighting of Old Town and the opening of GumDrop Square, a top 20

The parade starts at 5th & Main Streets and proceeds towards the Courthouse.
Afterwards, enjoy Gumdrop Square and the shops and restaurants on this quaint Main Street. This is a free event!

Bealeton Christmas Parade

Bealeton..... 12 Noon
Bring the family out to enjoy this traditional, small-town parade. The parade will be
emceed by Fauquier County Supervisor, Chester Stribling. The theme of the parade
will be Fauquier County’s 250th Anniversary. Leading the parade, of decorated floats,
cars, performers, businesses, walkers, scouts, schools, performers, equestrians and
children, will be the USA Old Guard Fife and Drum Corps. The parade is sponsored by
the Southern Fauquier Business Owners Association. The Bealeton Library will have an
open house with refreshments and the awards ceremony after the parade. For additional

Holiday Celebration in The Plains

Shops on Main Street, The Plains...... 5pm - 8pm
Join us for holiday festivities in The Plains. Main Street Shops will hold open houses
with complimentary hors d'oeuvres, wine & cheese, hot cocoa, cider, sweets & treats!
Holiday carolers will roam, and a tree lighting ceremony will be held at 6pm.

First Night in Old Town Warrenton

First Night Performances: 7pm - 11:45pm
Grand Illumination at Old Courthouse: 11:45pm - Midnight
Families, friends and neighbors from all over Fauquier County and beyond welcome
in the New Year with a community celebration of the arts for people of all ages.
First Night Warrenton will host over 50 wonderful performances at more than 10 indoor
locations in downtown Warrenton, all within walking distance of one another. Come and
enjoy jazz, classical music, puppet shows, bluegrass, folk music, magicians and much
more! First Night concludes at midnight with a traditional Grand Illumination gathering on
the Old Courthouse green. Everyone will receive a candle, pass the flame to their
neighbor and sing in the New Year as the old courthouse bell rings the last twelve
chimes to midnight.
First Night Warrenton is a family oriented, alcohol-free celebration with entertainment
coordinated by the Bluemont Concert Series. Performances are held in boardrooms,
lobbies, courtrooms, church sanctuaries, parish halls and other locations. Old Town
Warrenton provides an ideal setting with its historic charm, convenient parking and many
fine restaurants.
Admission: New Family Rate of $25 includes parents and children; or $8 per person;
$6 Seniors; $3 Children 3-12; under 3 free
