Illumination Walk and opening of Gum Drop Square
Main Street in Old Town Warrenton.....
The illumination walk begins at 6pm at the Spilman-Mosby House (173 Main St.);
Gum Drop Square is open 7pm-9pm
Join us in Old Town for the charming Illumination walk and arrival of Santa!
The walk starts at the Mosby Museum (173 Main Street) and proceeds down Main
Street to Gum Drop Square in the John Barton Payne building. Children can visit
with Santa and then shop with the elves in Santa's Secret Shop.
There's much more for the family to enjoy including horse drawn hayrides,
refreshments, a live nativity, the Warrenton Ballet, String Orchestra, a puppet show,
and music provided by several local chorales.

(at the cul-de-sac of 4th Street) behind Claire's at the Depot. Registration begins
at 7:30am, walk/run begins at 8:30am. Proceeds benefit Verdun Adventure Bound.
Cost: $25 to register the day of race

open 11am - 2pm in the John Barton Payne building.

First Night in Old Town Warrenton

Grand Illumination at Old Courthouse: 11:45pm - Midnight
Families, friends and neighbors from all over Fauquier County and beyond welcome
in the New Year with a community celebration of the arts for people of all ages.
First Night Warrenton will host over 50 wonderful performances at more than 10 indoor
locations in downtown Warrenton, all within walking distance of one another. Come and
enjoy jazz, classical music, puppet shows, bluegrass, folk music, magicians and much
more! First Night concludes at midnight with a traditional Grand Illumination gathering on
the Old Courthouse green. Everyone will receive a candle, pass the flame to their
neighbor and sing in the New Year as the old courthouse bell rings the last twelve
chimes to midnight.
First Night Warrenton is a family oriented, alcohol-free celebration with entertainment
coordinated by the Bluemont Concert Series. Performances are held in boardrooms,
lobbies, courtrooms, church sanctuaries, parish halls and other locations. Old Town
Warrenton provides an ideal setting with its historic charm, convenient parking and many
fine restaurants.
Admission: $8 per person; $6 Seniors; $3 Children 3-12; under 3 free
