The Fantasticks - Fauquier Community Theatre

Fauquier Community Theatre......
4225 Aiken Drive, Warrenton, VA 20187
The timeless story of a boy and a girl who fall in love over a garden wall that their fathers
have constructed to keep them apart. The truth is, knowing the contrary nature of children,
the two old men created the wall, as well as a phony feud between the two families, to make
them fall in love. Fantasticks signature songs “Try to Remember” and “Soon It’s Gonna Rain”
evoke the agony and rapture of being young, full of dreams, and giddy with love. Once they’re
brought together through some wild theatrical hi-jinks cooked up by their fathers and a
mysterious traveling stranger, the young couple discovers their once-dizzying passion has
suddenly become domestic and dull. Craving the old romance and adventure, they both have
to do some time in the sobering “real world” before they discover that the greatest adventure
and truest love is always found in the arms of the one you love at home.
Cost: Adults, $17; Seniors/Students, $15. For more information, call (540) 788-4600,
