Fauquier County's newest and largest winery Barrel Oak Winery opened
in Spring 2008. This beautiful, open winery offers a large wine bar,
underground production facilities where guests can take a guided or
self-guided tour and see the wine being made in the barrel room,
crush pad, and steel tank room.

The winery has some of the most breathtaking views in the region,
situated just below the Blue Ridge across from Little Cobbler Mountain
and surrounded by cattle and horse ranches. From the huge stone patio
guests can watch the sunset over the mountains and step off the patio
directly into the vineyard. Everywhere you turn there is beauty and calm.

The estate-grown varieties include Traminette, Seyval Blanc, Merlot, Chambourcin, Vidal Blanc, Petit Verdot and Petit Manseng.

Located in Middleburg, Boxwood Winery lies in the very northern part of
Fauquier County. This state-of-the-art winery and vineyard was begun by
the late Jack Kent Cooke. Boxwood produces red wine in three styles in
the Bordeaux tradition from seven varities of grapes: Cabernet Sauvignon,
Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Petit Verdot, and Malbec.

Visitors are welcome by appointment for a tour and tasting at the Winery.
Tours last approximately 45 minutes and are limited to 6 people per tour.

A satellite Tasting Room in downtown Middleburg is open to the public
Thursday thru Sunday, 11am to 5pm beginning Fall 2007.

Fox Meadow Vineyards is a family-owned winery specializing in traditional
Vinifera wines, Pinot Gregio, Chardonnay, Syrah, and Cabernet Franc.
Located on top of Blue Mountain at an elevation of 1700 feet, visitors can
enjoy a 50 mile view, virtually looking down on the tops of the surrounding
mountains.

All grapes used to make Linden wines are grown in the mountains
surrounding the winery. As winegrowers we are primarily interested in how
each vineyard site is expressed in the glass. Our white wines have subtle
minerality, verve and vibrant acidity. Our red wines show earth, depth and
structure. Our wines age quite well and we often release them many years
past vintage.

December through March: weekends only 11am-5pm
Wine Tasting Fee: We offer complimentary tastings, but for those interested
in greater depth, on weekends we offer a special reserve cellar tasting for

are available.
